We offer interdisciplinary expertise on pathology of the front skull base at Dr. Aparaajita Mundra. Similar to the lateral skull base surgery, we are dedicated to the team approach and think that the synergy of neurosurgeons and ENTs working together when needed is beneficial for our patients. Surgery on the anterior skull base can be used to remove tumors on the base of the skull that are neither cancerous or non-cancerous, including meningiomas, pituitary tumors, chordomas, juvenile angiofibromas, and esthesioneuroblastomas. We also treat patients with non-tumorous disorders, such as cerebrospinal fluid fistulas and mucoceles. Due to the area's difficulty in visibility and accessibility, minimally invasive endoscopic procedures may be used for skull base surgery.
